Who can participate in the Dhanbad District Olympiad 2026?
Students from Classes 5 to 10 studying in any school within Dhanbad district are eligible. There is no age limit — only class eligibility matters.
How does a student register for the Olympiad?
Registrations are accepted only through schools and educational institutions. Students must collect the official registration form from their class teacher or school office, fill it out with a passport-size photo and parent/guardian signature, pay the ₹200 fee at school, and submit the completed form. Individual/online registration is not available.
What is the registration fee and how is it paid?
The registration fee is ₹200 per student. Payment is collected offline only — students pay at their school office or to their class teacher. No online payment gateway is available. Beware of fraudulent online payment requests.
What subjects are tested in the Olympiad?
The Olympiad is a single combined paper with two sections: Section A — Science (25 MCQs, 100 marks) and Section B — Mathematics & Mental Ability/Logical Reasoning (25 MCQs, 100 marks). Total: 50 MCQs, 200 marks, 2 hours.
What is the exam pattern and marking scheme?
50 MCQs on OMR sheet, 2 hours duration. +4 marks for each correct answer, −1 mark for each incorrect answer. Use only blue or black ballpoint pen. Calculators, smartwatches, and electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited.
What are the four phases of the Olympiad?
Phase 1: District (at your school) → Phase 2: Zonal (qualifiers) → Phase 3: State (zonal toppers) → Phase 4: Grand Finale (state finalists, cash prizes ₹1,00,000+). Dates for all phases will be announced soon.
How do students qualify for the next phase?
A student must score a minimum of 60% (120/200 marks) AND be among the top 30% of all participants in that phase. Both criteria must be met to advance.
What is the syllabus based on?
The syllabus is based on CBSE, ICSE, and Jharkhand State Board curricula for Classes 5–10. Detailed class-wise topics for Science, Mathematics, and Logical Reasoning are available on the Syllabus page.
How and when are results published?
Results are published as PDF documents on the Results page after each phase evaluation is complete. Students can download the result PDF for their class. Schools can also view consolidated results through the School Portal.
Are answer keys published?
Yes, official answer keys are published as PDFs on the Results page after each phase. Students can download them to verify their responses.
What prizes are awarded?
Grand Finale winner receives ₹1,00,000+ cash prize. Trophies and medals for all phase toppers. Certificates of participation for ALL students. Excellence awards for top performers. Special trophies for schools and teachers.
Can a school with fewer than 50 students participate?
The minimum requirement is 50 students per school. This ensures a viable cohort for meaningful competition and statistical relevance. Contact us if you have special circumstances.
How does a school partner with JTSA for the Olympiad?
Schools can express interest by emailing thedeepak1601@gmail.com or jtsaofficial@gmail.com, or WhatsApp +91 93043 36590. JTSA will issue a unique School Code and login credentials for the School Portal. Minimum 50 students required.
What is the School Portal and what can schools access?
Partner schools receive unique login credentials (ID + password) from JTSA. The portal provides secure access to view their students' participation, marks, ranks, and download result PDFs for each phase.
Is there a refund policy if a student cannot attend?
All fee collection is done offline at schools. Since no online payments are accepted and the registration process involves physical form submission through schools, there is no online refund policy. Please coordinate with your school for any fee-related matters.
Where can I find the official campaign poster and other assets?
