Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using the JTSA website or participating in the Olympiad.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Jharkhand Talent Search Association (JTSA) website (the "Website") and/or participating in the Dhanbad District Olympiad 2026 (the "Olympiad"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Website or participate in the Olympiad.

2. Eligibility & Registration

  • The Olympiad is open to students of Classes 5–10 enrolled in schools within Dhanbad district.
  • Registrations are accepted only through schools/institutions. Individual registrations are not permitted.
  • Minimum 50 students per school required for institutional participation.
  • Registration fee: ₹200 per student, collected offline through schools only.
  • Accurate and complete information must be provided during registration. False information may lead to disqualification.

3. Examination Rules

  • The Olympiad consists of 4 phases: District, Zonal, State, and Grand Finale.
  • Exam format: 50 MCQs on OMR sheet, 2 hours, 200 total marks (Section A: Science 100, Section B: Maths & LR 100).
  • Marking: +4 for correct, −1 for incorrect. Blue/black ballpoint pen only. No calculators/gadgets.
  • Qualification: Minimum 60% score AND top 30% of participants advance to next phase.
  • Admit card with roll number (DDO-2026-XXXX) required for entry. School ID/Aadhaar must be carried.

4. Fees & Payments

  • Registration fee: ₹200 per student, per Olympiad cycle.
  • All fees collected OFFLINE only at schools. No online payment gateway is provided by JTSA.
  • JTSA is not responsible for any third-party online payment fraud or unauthorized collection.
  • Fee once paid is non-refundable as it covers administrative, examination, and material costs.

5. Results, Certificates & Prizes

  • Results published as PDFs on the Website after each phase. Schools access via School Portal.
  • Certificates of participation issued to all students. Merit certificates for qualifiers/toppers.
  • Grand Finale winner: Cash prize ₹1,00,000+. Trophies, medals, certificates across all phases.
  • School/teacher recognition awards at Grand Finale. JTSA's decision on results is final.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website — including logos, text, graphics, syllabus, question papers, and branding — is the intellectual property of JTSA. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is prohibited without prior written permission.

7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

  • The Website is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • JTSA is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Website or participation in the Olympiad.
  • Dates, schedules, and details are subject to change. JTSA will notify schools of any changes.
  • JTSA is not responsible for technical failures, network issues, or third-party service disruptions.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Dhanbad, Jharkhand.
